About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic lighting for an airport terminal interior in a high-tech style. The environment captures the expansive, high-ceilinged hall of the Rostock Laage Airport terminal. The space features a structural metal roof system, large glazed curtain walls, and a clean, neutral floor pattern composed of light-toned ceramic tiles with contrasting dark grey accent bands. The architectural aesthetic is utilitarian and modern, with visible steel trusses and structural elements. The scene includes various terminal amenities such as signage, seating areas, and display elements. The lighting is dominated by soft, diffuse daylight filtering through the roof and glass facades, augmented by subtle, cool-toned ambient interior illumination.

The download is a 6.3 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Professionals can load this.hdr file directly into the environment or dome light slot of any major rendering engine. Because it is provided as a high-dynamic-range image, it will automatically drive global illumination, reflections, and ambient light values in the scene. Users should adjust the exposure and intensity settings within their renderer to match the scale of their specific project, ensuring the background plate aligns with the virtual camera's horizon line for accurate perspective and realistic integration.

This asset is ideal for architectural visualisations requiring high-traffic public space backdrops, such as airport terminals, transit hubs, or large commercial interiors. It pairs effectively with modern furniture, signage, and aviation-themed assets. Designers working on transportation projects or large-scale public infrastructure will find this useful for establishing realistic lighting conditions in early concept stages or final renders.
