About this asset

This sunrise HDRI environment map provides realistic natural lighting for 3D scenes, featuring a clear sky over rural cornfields. Captured at sunrise, this equirectangular HDRI map features a low sun position casting long, soft shadows across an asphalt road flanked by cornfields. The sky transitions from a warm, golden horizon to a clear, deep blue overhead. It provides a full 360-degree range of natural illumination, ensuring accurate light distribution and reflections for exterior architectural renders. The high dynamic range ensures that the light intensity remains unclipped, preserving the subtle colour shifts inherent in dawn lighting conditions without losing detail in the highlights or the deep, cool shadows within the vegetation.

The download is a 6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file into the environment slot of your preferred rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun with your project's primary light source, ensuring the shadows match the desired orientation. Because the image is unclipped, you can modify the exposure settings within your renderer to fine-tune the brightness of the scene without introducing artificial noise or banding. Use this map as the primary light source for exterior scenes to achieve consistent, high-quality GI and reflections.

Ideal for architectural visualisations of rural dwellings, landscape design projects, or automotive exterior shots, this environment map excels in scenes requiring natural morning lighting. It pairs well with projects involving agricultural settings, expansive fields, or country roads. Professionals searching for a realistic sunrise atmosphere will find this asset useful for establishing a specific time-of-day mood, providing both the background plate and the necessary light data to integrate 3D models seamlessly into a natural, open-air environment.
