Parametric Mid-Century Timber Secretary Desk

Constructed as a versatile Revit family, this mid-century timber secretary desk combines modular lower cabinetry with an elevated top shelf. The unit features a wide horizontal profile defined by five lower modular bays beneath an elevated continuous top shelf supported by four slim vertical uprights. On the outer flanks, paired drawer stacks provide four tiers of shallow and deep storage with circular pull knobs. Two double-door cupboards frame a central drop-front bureau module, offering concealed shelving and utility space. Rendered in a warm natural wood finish, the joinery sits on low-profile leg extensions aligned with the vertical division panels, giving the entire composition a balanced, mid-century architectural rhythm.

The download is a 573 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, load the family directly into project templates or interior fit-out models. Place the component onto finished floor levels against perimeter partition walls or use it as a freestanding room divider. Floor plans automatically represent clean 2D swing lines and clear clearances, while elevations display accurate millwork reveals. Material finish parameters can be assigned across casework components to match project specifications, ensuring consistent visuals across documentation views and rendering engines.

Suitable for executive offices, home library studies, reception suites, and boutique hospitality interiors, this credenza unit suits environments demanding organized storage and refined millwork. It coordinates smoothly alongside mid-century lounge chairs, timber meeting tables, and minimal task luminaires. Interior architects specifying executive storage credenza joinery, drop-front study consoles, or custom wall-length office credenzas will find this model immediately effective for technical drawing packages and client visualisations.
