About this asset

This contemporary 8-seater dining set in SketchUp features a textured stone-top table paired with matching rattan-back wood chairs. The rectangular dining table showcases a thick, textured stone-effect top with a porous, natural aesthetic, supported by a sturdy timber frame base. Accompanying the table are eight chairs characterized by a distinctive x-frame wooden base and a classic rattan-weave backrest. Each chair is finished with a warm-toned upholstered seat pad, providing a tactile contrast to the rustic wood and stone elements. The set presents a balanced composition of organic textures and structural geometry, suitable for refined interior schemes that favour natural materials and a grounded, tactile material palette.

The download is a 13.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 9 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this set is organised as component groups, allowing for easy placement and individual adjustment of the chairs around the table. Users should manage the geometry using tags to separate the table from the seating for better scene control. When applying materials, ensure the stone texture is mapped with appropriate tiling coordinates to maintain the intended scale. The model is lightweight enough for quick conceptual layouts but detailed enough to serve as a primary focal point in rendered interior visualisations.

Ideal for residential dining rooms, boutique hotel restaurants, or high-end cafe interiors, this set integrates seamlessly into open-plan living areas. It pairs effectively with minimalist or wabi-sabi aesthetics, anchoring a space with its substantial form. Architects and interior designers frequently search for such sets when specifying furniture for large-scale family homes or hospitality projects. The neutral palette ensures compatibility with various floor finishes, from polished concrete to engineered timber, making it a versatile choice for both contemporary and transitional design narratives.
