About this asset

This traditional black wood dressing table set, modelled for 3ds Max, features a distinctive scalloped apron and turned legs. This charming furniture set comprises a rectangular dressing table and a matching stool, both finished in a solid black stain. The table stands on four elegant, turned legs, with a decorative scalloped edge running along the underside of the tabletop. The stool mirrors this aesthetic, featuring a scalloped seat top and matching turned legs connected by a central cross-brace for stability. The proportions are compact, suitable for smaller rooms or alcoves, and the overall construction reflects a classic, traditional furniture style that pairs well with both vintage and eclectic interior design themes.

The download is an 11 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file and check the pivot points for both the table and stool. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy material adjustments if a different finish or wood grain is required. Ensure your scene lighting accounts for the dark finish, as the black surfaces will absorb significant light; adding a subtle rim light or an HDRI environment map will help define the scalloped edges and turned leg details during rendering.

This set is ideal for residential bedroom projects, dressing rooms, or boutique hotel suites where a refined, traditional aesthetic is required. It functions well as a vanity table or a small writing desk in a home office nook. Designers often specify such pieces to add character to a corner or to serve as a focal point in a boudoir. Search for terms like 'vanity set', 'scalloped dressing table', or 'traditional bedroom furniture' when sourcing for similar interior design schemes.
