About this asset

These grey fabric curtains with a minimalist white rod for 3ds Max provide a clean, draped window dressing for contemporary interiors. This asset consists of a pair of floor-length curtains suspended from a simple, cylindrical white metal rod with matching end finials. The fabric features a uniform, neutral grey tone with soft, vertical folds that suggest a medium-weight textile, likely cotton or a synthetic blend. The drapes are gathered at the top using a standard header, creating natural, flowing pleats that hang straight to the floor. The hardware is minimalist in design, focusing on clean lines and a monochromatic white finish that integrates seamlessly into various modern residential or hospitality room settings.

The download is a 6.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can easily merge this asset into a 3ds Max scene using the standard file import process. The curtains and rod are typically grouped as a single object, allowing for quick placement and adjustment along the wall surface. Ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned with the wall face for accurate positioning. Apply standard fabric shaders to the curtains to control transparency and light diffusion, while using a reflective metal material for the rod to achieve a realistic appearance in final render passes.

These curtains are suitable for a wide range of interior projects, including residential living rooms, bedrooms, and hotel suites where a neutral window treatment is required. They pair well with minimalist furniture and can be used to add softness to spaces with hard surfaces like stone or concrete. Professionals should search for window dressings, drapes, and interior textiles when looking to populate interior scenes. The asset is ideal for mid-stage visualisation where clean, realistic drapery is needed to establish a finished, lived-in aesthetic.
