Traditional Asian Roof Set – Variant 17

This collection of eight traditional Asian roof modules for 3ds Max features intricate timber joinery and curved tile profiles. This set contains eight distinct roof assemblies representative of traditional East Asian architectural styles. Each module showcases a characteristic curved silhouette, complete with detailed ceramic-style roof tiles and exposed timber support structures, including brackets and lintels. The set demonstrates various configurations, from square pyramidal forms to rectangular hip-and-gable designs. Several units feature integrated red lantern accents, adding a distinct cultural aesthetic. The models are finished in a palette of deep grey, natural timber tones, and contrasting red detailing, providing a comprehensive library for historical or thematic architectural visualization projects.

The download is a 43.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 8 separate objects. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can efficiently integrate these roof modules into 3ds Max scenes as modular components for heritage or thematic building designs. The assets are organised for easy manipulation, allowing for direct placement and scaling to suit specific building footprints. Given the modular nature of these roofs, they are best utilised as instances or grouped objects within a larger architectural model, enabling adjustments to material mapping or geometry to align with specific project requirements and lighting conditions.
