Double Layer Fabric Curtains with Pleated Heading

These contemporary double-layer fabric curtains for SketchUp feature a pleated heading and a combination of sheer and opaque panels. This window treatment set consists of two distinct curtain layers suspended from a concealed track system. The inner layer is a lightweight, semi-transparent white fabric, while the outer layer is a heavier, opaque grey textile. Both panels feature a consistent, vertical pleated heading that creates soft, uniform folds extending from the top to the floor. The model demonstrates a natural drape and realistic volume, suitable for architectural visualisation where depth and texture are required for window treatments. The material contrast between the sheer and solid fabrics provides a versatile aesthetic for various interiors.

The download is a 7.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these curtains are provided as a single component. Users should place the object using the top-centre or top-left snap point to align with window head heights. Since the model relies on geometry for its pleated form, ensure textures are mapped correctly if applying custom patterns. For high-quality visualisations, adjust the transparency settings of the inner sheer layer within your preferred render engine to allow light transmission while keeping the outer grey layer opaque for privacy.

These curtains are ideal for residential bedroom and living room projects, as well as hotel guest suite visualisations. They pair effectively with minimalist or contemporary interior schemes where clean lines and soft textures are desired. When searching for this asset, terms such as window drapery, pleated curtains, or sheer and opaque window dressings will yield similar results. Use this model to add realism to interior scenes, particularly when demonstrating daylighting conditions or creating a layered, high-end residential atmosphere in architectural renders.
