Contemporary White and Walnut Bookshelf Display Unit

This contemporary 3ds Max bookshelf display unit features a modular arrangement of open black shelves, white panels, and walnut-toned wood accents. Designed for modern interiors, this storage unit combines a clean geometric aesthetic with functional, mixed-material construction. The central section consists of an asymmetric open shelving grid finished in matte black, contrasted by flanking solid white vertical panels. A horizontal band of walnut-toned wood grain separates the upper and lower sections, integrating two small drawers or cupboard doors. The overall composition is balanced and sleek, suitable for displaying books or decorative objects while providing concealed storage. The unit is structurally sound with distinct material transitions between the dark internal cavities and the light-coloured exterior frame.

The download is a 14.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers, allowing for easy selection of the shelving, cabinet, and decorative elements. The material IDs are clearly defined, facilitating quick adjustments to the wood grain or laminate finishes using standard materials. Users should ensure the unit is correctly aligned to their wall plane upon insertion. The model is scaled for standard residential ceiling heights, making it ready for integration into architectural scenes without complex resizing or mesh cleanup.
