Contemporary Grey Marble Reception Desk with Fluted Base

This contemporary SketchUp reception scene features a grey marble desk with a fluted metal base and integrated ambient lighting. The reception desk is defined by a bold, sculptural grey marble counter with a distinctively angled front profile. Beneath the overhanging marble, a recessed section features vertical metal fluting in a warm gold finish, illuminated by integrated linear LED strips that highlight the texture of the slats. The surrounding environment includes a full-height feature wall with panelled detailing, metallic trim, and a decorative circular wall art piece. This complete set provides a high-end corporate aesthetic, balancing heavy stone surfaces with refined metallic accents and soft, layered architectural lighting.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups and components, allowing for easy placement within larger commercial floor plans. Users should ensure that the lighting elements are assigned to specific layers to manage render times effectively. Materials are applied using standard UV mapping, which can be adjusted or replaced to match specific project colour palettes. The model is scaled for standard reception heights, making it ready for integration into architectural interior visualisations or detailed office space planning.

Ideal for corporate office lobbies, luxury hotel reception areas, and high-end retail showrooms, this desk serves as a primary focal point. It pairs well with minimalist seating and marble flooring, providing a sophisticated transition zone for visitors. Designers frequently search for this type of asset when developing professional front-of-house environments that require a polished, bespoke appearance. It is suitable for both conceptual design stages and final presentation renders, helping to establish a clear material identity within a project.
