Contemporary Charcoal and Grey Three-Bay Bookshelf

This contemporary 3ds Max bookshelf features a three-bay open design with charcoal and grey wood finishes and integrated lower drawers. Constructed as a modular-style three-bay unit, this bookshelf balances an open framework with base-level storage. The vertical partitions and outer frame are finished in a deep charcoal wood grain, providing a sharp contrast to the lighter grey backing panels and drawer fronts. Each bay offers five levels of vertical storage, with the bottom section of each bay dedicated to a concealed drawer. The unit includes a curated set of decorative accessories, including stacked books, sculptural vases, and small ornaments, which are distributed across the shelves to suggest a realistic, lived-in aesthetic for interior visualisations.

The download is a 35.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this unit into a 3ds Max scene, import the asset and place it against a wall or as a room divider. The model is structured with logical grouping for easy material assignment or modification of the wood grain textures. Ensure the pivot point is set at the base for accurate positioning on the floor plane. Use standard lighting setups to highlight the contrast between the dark charcoal frame and the lighter internal panels, adjusting the reflection settings on the shelf surfaces for realism.

This storage unit fits seamlessly into modern living rooms, home offices, or private libraries where a clean, linear aesthetic is required. It serves as an effective focal point for displaying books and decorative objects in residential projects or professional workspaces. Architects and interior designers can specify this piece to add vertical interest in open-plan layouts.
