Contemporary Grey Fabric Lounge Chair with Black Metal Frame

This contemporary lounge chair is a SketchUp model featuring a grey fabric seat supported by a slim, minimalist black metal frame. This lounge chair features a clean, contemporary aesthetic defined by its soft, rounded upholstered seat and backrest. The upholstery is a textured grey fabric that provides a neutral, tactile finish. It is supported by a slender black metal frame that wraps around the base and rises to cradle the back cushion, creating a lightweight visual profile. The proportions are low-slung, making it suitable for relaxed seating areas. The construction is straightforward, focusing on the contrast between the soft, inviting fabric and the rigid, industrial-style metal structure, offering a versatile piece for modern interior schemes.

The download is a 2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is managed via components for easy manipulation of the seat and frame geometry. Users can apply custom fabric textures or adjust the frame's material colour through the materials editor to match specific project palettes. Because the geometry is clean, it integrates efficiently into larger scenes without excessive overhead. When scaling, ensure the seat height remains consistent with standard ergonomic requirements for lounge furniture by referencing the base frame as a fixed height anchor point.

This lounge chair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern office breakout spaces. It pairs effectively with low-profile coffee tables or as a standalone accent piece in a reading corner. Designers often search for this type of modern, minimalist seating when specifying furniture for open-plan apartments or sophisticated commercial reception areas where comfort and aesthetic clarity are required. It serves as a reliable asset for visualising interior layouts that prioritise clean lines and contemporary materials.
