About this asset

This mid-century 3ds Max set features an egg-style leather lounge chair accompanied by a matching side table, floor lamp, and throw. This curated lounge set centres on an iconic egg-style armchair upholstered in a rich brown leather finish, supported by a polished four-star metal base. Accompanying the seating is a contemporary fluted-base side table in a dark metallic finish, topped with a small potted plant. A minimalist white floor lamp with a drum shade provides vertical contrast to the ensemble. A textured grey throw is draped over the chair seat, adding a layer of softness and visual depth to the composition. The proportions are balanced for a standard lounge or reading corner arrangement.

The download is a 46.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 4 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users should import this 3ds Max file into their project scene as a cohesive group or individual assets. Ensure the pivot points are correctly set at the base for easy floor-plane placement. The materials are pre-configured, allowing for quick adjustments to the leather sheen or metal reflections. For optimal results in a final render, check the texture mapping on the throw and adjust the light intensity of the lamp's emissive surface to match the surrounding interior environment lighting conditions.

This set is ideal for populating residential living rooms, hotel lobbies, and executive office waiting areas. It works well in high-end staging for architectural visualisations where a refined, comfortable reading nook is required. Designers often search for these pieces when creating mid-century modern interiors or contemporary lounge zones. The pieces can be used together as a complete vignette or separated to furnish different areas of a project, pairing effectively with area rugs and side-tables to create inviting, human-scaled spaces.
