About this asset

This contemporary spiral stair SketchUp model features dark wood cladding and integrated step lighting for high-end interiors. Designed with a striking helical form, this spiral staircase combines dark, rich timber cladding on the outer stringer with light-toned stone or marble treads. The design integrates subtle, warm LED strip lighting beneath the nosing of each tread, creating a floating effect and enhancing safety. A cylindrical, solid-timber newel post anchors the base, while the continuous, curved handrail follows the graceful sweep of the stairs upward. The proportions are balanced for a grand entrance or a central feature in an open-plan living space, emphasizing clean lines and high-contrast material textures.

The download is a 34.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is structured as a component, allowing for easy placement and scaling within your project file. Use the layer or tag manager to isolate the stair structure from the integrated lighting elements for better control during rendering. Materials are mapped to allow for quick texture replacement or adjustments to the wood grain and stone veining. Ensure your model axis is correctly aligned with your floor plan to maintain the curvature and vertical rise accuracy when inserting into your scene.

This staircase is ideal for luxury residential foyers, hotel lobbies, or high-end retail showrooms where a sculptural focal point is required. It pairs well with minimalist interior palettes and can be used in the concept design or development stage of a project. Professionals searching for a 'helical staircase', 'bespoke spiral stair', or 'modern feature stair' will find this asset suitable for creating high-quality architectural visualisations. It is best placed in large, open-plan environments that allow its curved geometry to be fully appreciated.
