About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic late-afternoon natural lighting for exterior 3D architectural renders. The environment captures a rural crossroads with dirt tracks intersecting amidst green fields and dense vegetation. A large, mature tree stands at the center of the junction, casting soft, elongated shadows consistent with a late-afternoon sun position. The sky is a clear, deep blue, transitioning to a warm, golden glow near the horizon. This map provides a high-dynamic-range panoramic view, offering a natural, unclipped light source that generates authentic global illumination, realistic reflections, and soft, directional shadows for exterior scenes, perfectly mimicking the atmosphere of a calm, sunny day in the countryside.

The download is a 5.7 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To utilize this environment map, load the.hdr file into the background or environment slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source for consistent shadows. Because this is a high-dynamic-range image, it will automatically provide balanced, natural lighting intensity. If necessary, tweak the exposure or gamma settings within your renderer's environment panel to match the specific brightness requirements of your project's camera settings and materials.

This HDRI is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, landscape design projects, and rural residential developments. It works well for scenes requiring a natural, open-air aesthetic, such as farmhouse concepts, park designs, or countryside hospitality projects. Professionals will find it useful for setting the mood in late-afternoon exterior shots, providing a balanced, warm light that enhances natural textures like timber, stone, and foliage. Use it when looking for a clean, unobstructed rural background that adds depth and realism to your site context.
