About this asset

This equirectangular HDR environment map provides natural sunset lighting for 3D scenes, featuring a dry field and distant trees. The environment map captures a wide-angle view of a dry, grassy field during sunset. The lighting is soft and low-contrast, typical of the golden hour transition into dusk. The horizon is punctuated by a line of bare, silhouetted trees, providing natural depth and visual interest for exterior renders. The colour palette is dominated by muted browns of the dormant vegetation, contrasted against a clear, pale blue sky that fades into warm yellow tones near the horizon. This asset provides a realistic, unclipped lighting foundation for architectural visualizations requiring a serene, rural atmosphere.

The download is a 6.5 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To implement this asset, load the.hdr file into the environment slot of your rendering engine's world settings. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source. Because this is a high-dynamic-range file, it will automatically influence the global illumination, shadows, and reflections of your 3D objects, ensuring a consistent lighting environment. For best results, scale your project's intensity to match the desired time-of-day exposure, utilizing the soft light for balanced, natural-looking outdoor renders.

This HDRI is ideal for exterior architectural projects, landscape design proposals, and residential visualizations set in rural or semi-rural environments. It pairs well with projects requiring a calm, evening aesthetic or naturalistic lighting conditions. Professionals searching for 'sunset lighting,' 'field backgrounds,' or 'outdoor environment maps' will find this useful for creating immersive, photorealistic site contexts. Its soft, non-intrusive light quality makes it suitable for showcasing building facades, garden designs, or suburban housing developments during the transition to night.
