Evening Sky HDRI 030 a

Evening Sky HDRI 030 A is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map providing realistic field lighting with a moody sunset horizon. This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map captures a wide-open field under a dramatic, overcast evening sky. The lighting profile features soft, diffused illumination with a subtle, low-hanging sun glow on the horizon line, creating a natural, slightly melancholic atmosphere. The spherical capture provides a full 360-degree environment, ensuring consistent reflections and ambient light for 3D scenes. It includes a reference preview with chrome, matte white, and glossy blue spheres to demonstrate how the light interacts with various material finishes, ensuring accurate light fall-off and realistic shadow placement for exterior visualisation projects.

The download is a 9.2 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file directly into your rendering engine's environment or world lighting slot. Adjust the rotation to align the sun glow with your scene's primary light source for consistent shadows. Because this map contains high-dynamic-range data, it functions as the sole light source, providing both ambient fill and directional highlights. It is recommended to use it alongside a backplate for final stills, or directly as a background for quick concept renders.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations requiring a natural, atmospheric backdrop. It works well for residential projects set in rural or semi-rural locations, providing a soft, overcast aesthetic that avoids harsh, direct sunlight. Professionals can use this for landscape design presentations, agricultural building studies, or outdoor product shots where a realistic, moody sky is needed. It pairs effectively with natural materials and muted colour palettes, helping to ground objects within a convincing, authentic outdoor environment.
