About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI map captures a gentle sunrise over a grassy hilltop, providing natural ambient lighting for 3D renders. The environment map depicts an expansive, open hilltop landscape at sunrise. The foreground is dominated by textured, low-lying grass in muted green and brown tones. The horizon features a soft, hazy transition into a wide sky filled with scattered, wispy high-altitude clouds. The light source is a subtle, low-contrast sun glow that casts soft, diffused illumination across the scene, avoiding harsh shadows. This unclipped dynamic range file preserves the delicate colour gradients of early morning light, ensuring realistic atmospheric transitions from the zenith to the distant, rolling horizon line found in the landscape.

The download is a 6.4 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the.hdr file into the background or environment slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source. Because this map provides high-dynamic-range data, it effectively drives both the ambient global illumination and the specular reflections on materials. If necessary, use a colour correction node to tweak the exposure or white balance to match your specific project's lighting requirements and aesthetic goals.

This HDRI is suited for exterior architectural visualisation, particularly for residential projects situated in rural or countryside settings. It works effectively for morning-themed exterior shots where soft, natural light is required to highlight building facades or landscape designs. Professional visualisers often pair this with ground plane assets to create seamless transitions between the 3D model and the distant horizon. It is an essential asset for setting a serene, tranquil mood in early-stage design presentations, master planning, or environmental studies for outdoor living spaces.
