About this asset

Day Sky HDRI 009 A is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map providing realistic daylight illumination for rendering engines. This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map captures a clear, bright midday sky over a rocky mountain landscape. It offers a natural, balanced light source suitable for architectural visualizations requiring realistic outdoor illumination. The file includes a full 360-degree panoramic view, ensuring that both the primary light source and the background reflections maintain consistent colour temperature and intensity. The high dynamic range allows for precise control over exposure and contrast within a 3D scene, making it a reliable solution for exterior renders where ambient light accuracy is essential for final visual output.

The download is a 10 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this HDRI file directly into the environment or background slot of your chosen rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene geometry to ensure shadows are cast correctly. Because this is a high-dynamic-range image, it will automatically drive global illumination and reflections, reducing the need for additional artificial light rigs. Users should scale the intensity multiplier to match the desired brightness of the project environment.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualizations, particularly for mountain-side residential projects or hospitality developments located in rural or hilly terrain. It pairs well with landscape-heavy scenes where natural, clear-day lighting is required to ground the building within its context. Professionals often use this asset when they need a clean, uncluttered background that provides realistic reflections on glazing and metal surfaces. It is suitable for all project stages, from early massing studies to final high-fidelity marketing renders.
