About this asset

This 2K HDRI environment map captures a bright, clear-sky riverside setting with a bridge, providing realistic lighting and reflections. The environment map features a wide-angle, panoramic capture of a riverfront location during a clear midday period. The scene includes a modern pedestrian bridge, calm water, and a bright, slightly hazy sky. The lighting is naturally balanced with a strong, directional sun position that casts clear highlights and soft shadows. Included in the capture are three reference spheres—chrome, matte white, and blue gloss—which assist in calibrating material reflections and light intensity within a 3D scene. The overall colour temperature is neutral, leaning slightly cool due to the expansive sky and water reflections.

The download is an 8.9 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into your renderer's environment or background slot. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source for consistent shadows. Because this is a high-dynamic-range image, you can increase the exposure intensity to drive global illumination or lower it to control background brightness. It serves as both a primary light source and an accurate reflection map, eliminating the need for complex multi-light setups for outdoor scenes.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly those featuring riverside developments, urban infrastructure, or park landscapes. It pairs well with modern residential or commercial projects that require a natural, bright daylight aesthetic. Professionals searching for accurate sky lighting, realistic water reflections, or a clear, sunny atmosphere will find this asset versatile for various rendering engines. It effectively supports project stages ranging from conceptual design presentations to final high-fidelity renderings, ensuring a cohesive look across all exterior camera angles.
