About this asset

This Blouberg Sunrise 2 HDRI environment map provides realistic, soft morning lighting with a warm horizon and cool blue sky. Captured at a coastal location, this environment map features a panoramic view of a wide sandy beach at sunrise. The lighting profile is balanced and low-contrast, characterized by a soft golden glow emanating from the horizon, transitioning into a cool, pale blue sky with light cloud cover. The composition includes distant coastal architecture and calm ocean waters, offering a natural 360-degree backdrop. The file provides high dynamic range data, ensuring accurate light distribution for reflections and shadows in architectural visualisations that require a serene, early-morning atmosphere.

The download is a 5.8 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file into the environment slot of your preferred rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Use the rotation parameters to align the sun position with your scene's primary light sources. Because this is an equirectangular map, it will automatically map correctly to a spherical environment dome. Adjust the exposure and white balance settings within your renderer to fine-tune the intensity of the warm morning light and the cool shadow tones.

Ideal for exterior architectural renders, this HDRI works well for coastal residential projects or hospitality developments set near the ocean. It creates a tranquil mood for morning-themed exterior shots, pairing effectively with modern glass-heavy architecture or timber-clad structures. Professionals might search for this when needing natural, soft-light environments that avoid harsh midday shadows. It is particularly effective for scenes requiring a realistic, atmospheric background that integrates naturally with ground-plane geometry in both conceptual and final-stage architectural presentations.
