About this asset

This square wooden sandbox Revit family features integrated corner seats and includes modelled play accessories for site planning. Designed as a compact, square-plan recreation unit, this sandbox features a timber frame construction with four flat, blue-coloured plastic corner seats that serve as both structural bracing and child-friendly perches. The interior is filled with a textured sand representation, complete with small, integrated 3D models of a plastic shovel and bucket. The overall geometry is clean and linear, reflecting a simple, functional aesthetic suitable for contemporary residential gardens or shared community play spaces. The frame is raised slightly on corner posts, providing a durable base for outdoor installation within a larger landscape design.

The download is a 276 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a standard Revit family, this component is easily placed into site plans or floor plans using the component tool. Users can manage visibility settings through object styles to toggle the sandbox accessories on or off depending on the required level of detail for presentation or construction documentation. It is recommended to host this family on a site topography element or a hardscape surface to ensure correct vertical alignment within the project environment.

This asset is ideal for residential architecture, school projects, or public park master-planning where child-friendly amenities are required. It serves as an effective placeholder for landscape architects and designers looking to define play zones within a site layout. Professionals typically search for this item when detailing backyard designs, nursery facilities, or communal outdoor areas. It pairs well with other recreational site elements like swings, slides, or soft-landscape planting schemes to create a cohesive and engaging outdoor environment for residential or educational clients.
