About this asset

This comprehensive basketball court Revit family provides a standard sports surface with integrated hoops for site planning projects. This basketball court asset features a standard rectangular playing surface rendered in a neutral grey concrete finish. The court markings are clearly defined in white, including the center circle, three-point lines, and key areas. Two basketball hoops are positioned at opposite ends, each featuring a support post, backboard, and ring. The model is designed for site-level visualization, focusing on accurate proportions and layout markings. It serves as a foundational component for outdoor recreational areas, providing a clean and realistic representation of a standard court suitable for master planning and urban design presentations.

The download is a 983 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is intended for site plan views and 3D massing models. Users can place the component directly onto a topography surface or a floor slab object. Given its nature as a site element, it is best managed within a dedicated site plan layer or workset to maintain visibility control. The material parameters allow for adjustments to the court surface colour or texture to match specific project requirements for asphalt, concrete, or synthetic sports surfacing.

The basketball court is suitable for residential developments, school campuses, municipal parks, and community recreational centers. It integrates seamlessly into site master plans where outdoor amenity spaces are required. Architects and landscape designers can use this to define play areas in early-stage conceptual layouts or final site development drawings. It pairs well with generic site vegetation, benches, and outdoor lighting families to create a complete, functional public space design for urban or suburban project environments.
