Traditional Timber Kitchen Island Work Station

Crafted with solid joinery details, this traditional timber kitchen island Revit family features built-in storage drawers and integrated prep shelving. Built from warm natural timber, this freestanding kitchen prep station combines generous work surfaces with versatile below-counter organization. The central bay houses three stacked utility drawers fitted with curved metal pull handles, flanked by specialized compartments on either side. A vertical slotted divider section accommodates baking sheets, cutting boards, or trays on the left, while open horizontal shelves on the right keep mixing bowls and cookware accessible. An integrated side towel rail and gently arched base aprons complete the classic craftsmanship aesthetic.

The download is a 399 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Engineered for efficient placement in Revit projects, this freestanding casework family loads directly into standard floor plans without requiring hosting to walls. Floor clearance and compact geometry enable quick alignment alongside fixed perimeter cabinetry or centrally inside open kitchen layouts. Material parameters can be customized across the timber body and metallic hardware to match project-specific joinery schedules.

Suited for residential renovations, country house designs, rustic farmhouses, and compact apartment cookspaces, this unit serves as a functional focal point. Interior designers commonly incorporate freestanding kitchen islands and butcher-block work tables into cottage kitchens, bespoke pantries, and hospitality suites. The model integrates smoothly alongside built-in ranges, farmhouse sinks, and open wall shelving during both concept presentation and documentation phases.
