Designed for exterior thresholds, this Revit door family provides a single glazed outswing panel paired with a matching right-hand multi-lite sidelite. The assembly features a full-height glazed swinging door paired with an integrated stationary sidelite on the right. Both units incorporate divided lite muntin grilles, arranged in an eighteen-pane grid on the primary sash and a twelve-pane pattern across the sidelite. Substantial bottom rails anchor the glazing, balanced by slender vertical stiles and an overhead transom-aligned head frame. Exterior brickmould or perimeter trim frames the entire composite opening, while a continuous standard threshold spans beneath both the operable leaf and fixed unit to ensure seamless transition detailing.
The download is a 4.1 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
Load the RFA component directly into your Revit project and host it into any standard exterior wall assembly. The family automatically generates clean rough openings and hosts trim to the host wall surface. Toggle flip controls in plan view to orient swing direction and exterior facing. Material parameters enable custom finishes across interior wood stiles, exterior cladding, and glazing panes for scheduled elevations.
Well suited for single-family residential architecture, upscale multi-family developments, and hospitality cottages, this unit functions cleanly as a patio door, veranda access, or garden terrace exit. It coordinates naturally with traditional fenestration packages, clad-wood windows, and classic exterior facades. Designers frequently specify this configuration when searching for glazed terrace doors, French patio doors with sidelites, divided lite entrance assemblies, and residential exterior hinged openings.
