About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features a potted Strelitzia reginae houseplant, distinguished by vibrant orange blossoms. This 3D model presents a Strelitzia reginae, commonly known as the bird of paradise, housed in a textured, spherical grey planter. The plant features multiple upright stalks with characteristic long, pointed leaves and distinct, bright orange and blue-toned floral structures. The foliage displays a high level of detail in the leaf mapping, providing a realistic appearance for interior visualisations. The planter has a mottled, stone-like grey finish, contrasting with the lush green tones of the vegetation and the vivid colour of the flowers. The base of the plant includes moss-like texture detailing.

The download is a 15.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this SketchUp component into a project, use the native import function or drag the file directly into your workspace. Since the file is structured as a single component, it is easily scalable to fit various interior settings without losing proportion. For optimal rendering results, ensure the textures are correctly mapped within your chosen render engine. Users can manage the plant's complexity by toggling layers or using proxy objects to maintain model performance in larger architectural scenes.

This houseplant is ideal for populating residential living rooms, modern office lobbies, and hospitality spaces such as hotel reception areas. It serves as a natural focal point when placed on sideboards, console tables, or in corners to soften architectural lines. Professionals often use this asset to add organic life to interior renderings during the concept and design development stages. It pairs effectively with contemporary furniture styles and neutral interior palettes, providing a splash of colour and a sense of biophilic design.
