About this asset

This contemporary potted rubber plant SketchUp model features a dense canopy of deep green leaves housed in a clean white ceramic pot. This ornamental plant model features a detailed Ficus elastica, commonly known as a rubber plant, characterised by its thick, glossy, ovate foliage arranged in a dense, upright habit. The plant is set within a simple, tapered white ceramic planter with a smooth, matte finish. The base of the plant is finished with a textured soil surface, providing a realistic foundation. The overall proportions are balanced, making it suitable for a variety of interior settings where a touch of greenery is required to soften architectural lines or add visual interest to a space.

The download is a 15.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp project, use the native component import function to place the plant into the scene. Given its size, it is best placed as a focal point in corners or alongside furniture. Ensure the model is scaled appropriately to match the project's real-world dimensions. If using external renderers, you may need to re-map the leaf textures or adjust the material reflectivity on the ceramic pot to achieve the desired level of realism within your specific lighting environment.

This potted plant is ideal for residential interior design, particularly in living rooms, bedrooms, or home offices where a natural element is needed. It also performs well in commercial projects such as hotel lobbies, reception areas, or modern café layouts to introduce a sense of biophilic design. Professionals often search for this type of asset when populating architectural visualisations, seeking realistic indoor greenery that complements minimalist or contemporary styles. It pairs effectively with modern furniture, floor lamps, and neutral-toned interior palettes for a cohesive look.
