Traditional Chinese Pavilion Garden Structure

This traditional Chinese garden pavilion SketchUp model features a classic hexagonal plan with intricate wood joinery and tile roofing. This architectural structure is a hexagonal open-air pavilion typical of traditional garden design. It features six cylindrical timber columns finished in a deep red, supporting a sweeping, multi-tiered roof clad in grey ceramic tiles. The roof assembly includes ornate wooden brackets and intricate lattice detailing along the eaves. A low stone plinth forms the base, surrounded by a matching wooden balustrade that encloses the perimeter. The proportions are balanced, reflecting historical vernacular craftsmanship with clean lines and a focus on symmetrical structural elements suitable for park or garden settings.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical components, allowing for easy placement within larger site plans. Users should verify the scale against the project ground plane upon insertion, as traditional structures often require specific site levelling. Materials are applied as standard textures; these can be adjusted or replaced using the material editor to match specific render requirements. The model is well-suited for site massing or detailed landscape visualisations, provided the user manages layer visibility for the intricate roof and lattice components.
