Potted Bird of Paradise Plant

This potted Bird of Paradise plant for SketchUp features broad, upright green foliage housed in a textured grey stone vessel. This decorative botanical asset features a Strelitzia, commonly known as a Bird of Paradise, characterised by its large, paddle-shaped leaves that grow in a vertical, fan-like arrangement. The foliage exhibits a deep, natural green hue with subtle vein detailing and a smooth, semi-matte surface finish. The plant is anchored in a rounded, bulbous planter with a coarse, grey stone-like texture, providing a neutral base that contrasts with the organic forms above. The base of the stems is finished with a realistic soil-like top dressing, completing the clean, contemporary aesthetic of the model.

The download is a 10.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp scene, import the component and use the native scale tool to adjust its size relative to your interior space. Because the plant is a self-contained component, you can easily manage its complexity by placing it on a dedicated 'Vegetation' layer to toggle visibility during heavy modelling tasks. Apply custom materials to the leaves if you require specific render-engine compatibility, or use the native SketchUp materials to maintain the file's lightweight performance for quick architectural visualisation.

This plant is ideal for populating residential interiors, hotel lobbies, and contemporary office spaces where a touch of greenery is required to soften hard surfaces. It pairs well with minimalist furniture, mid-century modern sideboards, or stone-clad reception desks. Professionals searching for 'potted office plants', 'interior greenery', or 'modern houseplant models' will find this asset useful for staging architectural visualisations or enhancing the natural feel of a room layout during the design development or final presentation stages of a project.
