About this asset

This contemporary indoor palm plant in a woven basket is a SketchUp model featuring detailed foliage and a natural rattan finish. This indoor plant model features a tall, lush palm with slender, feathery fronds rendered in vibrant green tones. The plant is housed in a tapered, woven rattan basket that provides a tactile, natural aesthetic. The basket includes small integrated handles on either side, adding a subtle functional detail to the planter. With its vertical orientation and organic silhouette, this asset brings a realistic, soft texture to interior spaces, balancing the clean lines of modern furniture with its natural, textured appearance and varied leaf density.

The download is an 8.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this SketchUp asset into your project, use the component import function to place the plant into your model. Ensure the scale is adjusted to match your interior proportions upon insertion. Since the plant is a single component, you can easily copy and rotate it to create natural variations if placing multiple instances in a room. For rendering, verify that the foliage textures are correctly mapped and apply light-scattering settings to the leaves to enhance the realism of the greenery.

This potted palm is ideal for adding life to residential living rooms, hotel lobbies, and contemporary office break-out spaces. It pairs well with minimalist or bohemian interior styles, sitting effectively beside lounge chairs, in corners of offices, or as a focal point in a bright conservatory. Professionals searching for natural interior accents will find this suitable for both conceptual design stages and final visualisations, providing a quick way to introduce organic shapes and colour into architectural scenes.
