About this asset

Traditional Chinese street lanterns and festive signage fixtures come arranged as a modular collection in this detailed SketchUp model set. This assembly encompasses a diverse variety of East Asian commercial streetscape elements, featuring timber signposts, hanging red paper lanterns, illuminated box signage, vertical fabric banners, and wooden framing gantries. Included components range from cylindrical and spherical festival lanterns with tassel accents to standing timber lamp posts with stone base plinths. Calligraphic vertical shop pennants, horizontal decorative valances, and multi-tier lantern strings provide authentic cultural street detailing. Textures incorporate natural wood grains, parchment paper diffusers, and bold red and gold lacquer finishes across multiple mounting frameworks.

The download is a 23.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Organized as separate modular groups within SketchUp, each lantern post, banner, and hanging luminaire can be selected individually and placed along street corridors or facade elevations. Materials map cleanly across the surfaces, enabling quick conversion into self-illuminated emissive shaders for evening exterior visualisations. Users can duplicate individual poles or distribute festoon strings across alleys while keeping file overhead manageable.

Suited for historic preservation districts, themed hospitality resorts, cultural tourist streets, and authentic Asian restaurant dining streets, this collection enriches urban streetscapes and outdoor night-market scenes. The decorative signage and lanterns pair alongside traditional roof tiles, timber shopfronts, and stone pavers in commercial retail developments. Visualisers seeking oriental street decor, Mid-Autumn festival lanterns, or historic Chinatown exterior assets will find this set directly applicable to exterior rendering workflows.
