About this asset

This tropical ceiling fan SketchUp model features five leaf-shaped wooden blades and a weathered grey metal housing with integrated lights. Designed with a distinct tropical aesthetic, this ceiling fan features five wide, leaf-shaped blades finished in a natural light wood tone. The central housing, downrod, and canopy are constructed from a textured, dark grey metal, echoing a vintage or antique finish. Below the motor housing, three bell-shaped light fixtures are attached via curved metal arms, providing both illumination and airflow. The proportions are balanced, with the downrod extending to a standard ceiling mount, making it a focal point for living or dining areas requiring a warm, organic feel.

The download is a 13.2 MB file containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, this component is best managed by placing it on a dedicated ceiling-mounted layer. Users can easily scale the unit to match specific ceiling heights by adjusting the vertical downrod length. Since the materials are already mapped, ensure the texture paths are correctly linked within the SketchUp materials panel. For rendering, apply emissive properties to the light shades to simulate illumination, and consider using a soft HDRI to highlight the metallic sheen of the housing and the wood grain of the blades.

This ceiling fan is ideal for residential projects, particularly in bedrooms, living rooms, or covered outdoor patios where a relaxed, tropical atmosphere is desired. It pairs effectively with rattan furniture, linen upholstery, and natural stone flooring. Professionals searching for coastal, farmhouse, or rustic-inspired interior assets will find this piece useful for adding character to a space. It is particularly well-suited for hospitality design in boutique hotels or resort villas seeking to maintain a cohesive, nature-inspired design language throughout the guest experience.
