Contemporary Walnut and Stone Kitchen Island with Pendant Light

This contemporary 3ds Max kitchen island set features a walnut-finished base, a light stone countertop, and a matching linear pendant light. This kitchen island assembly presents a minimalist, linear aesthetic suitable for modern open-plan interiors. The main unit features a deep walnut-toned timber cabinetry finish, providing a warm contrast to the light-coloured, honed stone countertop. An integrated flush-mount cooktop is centred on the surface, accompanied by a minimalist white pot. The base is finished with a recessed grey stone plinth, creating a floating effect. Suspended above the island is a long, slender linear pendant light with a clean, tubular design, perfectly proportioned to the length of the island bench to provide focused task lighting.

The download is a 151 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical groups for ease of manipulation. Users should ensure the pivot point is set to the floor base for accurate placement within a room scene. Materials are applied using standard mapping, allowing for quick adjustments to the wood grain or stone texture scaling. The pendant light can be detached or repositioned as a separate object if necessary, and the lighting intensity should be adjusted using standard photometric parameters to match the ambient light in your project.

This island is ideal for high-end residential kitchen designs, luxury apartment developments, or hospitality projects such as boutique hotel suites. It pairs well with minimalist bar stools and open-plan living arrangements where the kitchen serves as a social hub. Professionals searching for a sleek, integrated preparation and cooking zone will find this model useful for architectural visualisations and interior design presentations. It is particularly effective in renderings requiring a clean, sophisticated look that emphasises natural materials like walnut and stone in contemporary settings.
