About this asset

This contemporary white stone side table for 3ds Max features a sculptural monkey base holding a circular tabletop surface. Sculpted from a single piece of white stone, this whimsical side table features a stylized monkey figure serving as the pedestal. The figure is depicted with one arm raised to support the circular, flat top. The finish is consistent throughout, showcasing the natural texture and matte appearance of the stone material. The design is compact and serves as both a functional surface and a sculptural statement piece. Included in the set is a stack of books placed on the tabletop, which provides a sense of scale and adds to the overall composition.

The download is a 7.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is provided as a single object with the books included. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the base for easy placement on floor surfaces. The stone material can be adjusted using standard physical material maps to match specific lighting environments. Because of the organic, non-uniform shape of the monkey figure, it is recommended to apply a high-quality unwrap to ensure textures follow the form accurately when applying custom stone patterns or weathering effects.

This piece works effectively as an accent table in eclectic living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or creative office lounges. It functions well as a conversation starter next to a lounge chair or as a unique display stand in a residential hallway. Designers might search for figurative furniture or sculptural accent tables to integrate this into projects that require a playful, artistic touch. It pairs well with minimalist interiors where a single, bold object can stand out without cluttering the surrounding space.
