About this asset

This SketchUp set features five traditional Chinese garden pavilions, each showcasing distinct curved roof geometries and intricate wooden joinery. The collection comprises five distinct pavilion structures, each reflecting classical Chinese architectural principles. These designs feature sweeping, multi-tiered curved roofs finished with dark tile textures, supported by heavy timber columns and exposed beam systems. The pavilions range from square to hexagonal and octagonal footprints, incorporating elevated stone plinths, decorative lattice railings, and tiered entry stairs. The material palette is consistent, pairing warm-toned wood frames with cool grey stone bases and roofing, creating a balanced aesthetic suitable for detailed landscape modelling. Each structure is modeled with attention to traditional eaves and roof finials.

The download is a 39.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 5 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

The models are organized with logical layering, allowing for the easy isolation of roof, column, and flooring elements for material adjustments or texture mapping. For site plans, utilise the clean geometry to quickly place these pavilions into larger garden or park scenes. Applying high-resolution textures to the roof tiles and wood grain will further enhance the realism of your final exterior visualisations.

These pavilions are ideal for landscape architecture projects, including botanical gardens, high-end residential estates, and hospitality developments like luxury resorts or spa retreats. They serve as focal points within outdoor courtyards, water features, or zen garden designs. Professionals can use these models during the concept or design development stages to establish a specific cultural aesthetic. They pair well with stone paving, ornamental vegetation, and water basin assets, facilitating the creation of immersive, peaceful outdoor environments in both urban and rural settings.
