About this asset

This traditional armchair, modelled for 3ds Max, features a dark wood frame and striped fabric upholstery with a decorative throw cushion. This classic-style armchair is defined by its robust, dark-toned timber frame and vertical striped fabric upholstery. The design incorporates a structured, semi-circular backrest and side panels, which are reinforced with vertical wooden slats for visual texture. It sits on four slender, tapered legs that provide a refined aesthetic. The seat is deep and cushioned, paired with a matching back cushion and a single square throw pillow featuring a high-contrast, black-and-white mandala-style decorative pattern. The overall proportions suggest a comfortable, upright seating position suitable for formal lounge or library settings.

The download is an 11.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max project, ensure the object is placed on the floor plane using the base of the tapered legs as the pivot point. The fabric textures are mapped to follow the vertical orientation of the upholstery panels. Users should verify that the material IDs are correctly assigned to the timber frame and the textile components to allow for independent adjustments to the wood sheen or fabric pattern scale during final rendering.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential projects, particularly within traditional or transitional living rooms, studies, and master bedrooms. It serves as an effective accent piece when paired with solid-coloured sofas or placed in reading corners. Designers looking for character-driven seating will find this asset useful for creating focal points in interior visualisations. Search terms such as 'classic accent chair', 'striped fabric armchair', or 'traditional lounge seating' will effectively locate this item within a broader digital library.
