About this asset

This SketchUp model features a rectangular modern rug with a high-contrast white and black geometric grid and decorative tassels. This area rug features a clean, modern aesthetic defined by a stark, repeating grid of black rectangular motifs set against a crisp white field. The composition is balanced and symmetrical, suited for contemporary interior schemes. Short, neutral-toned fringe detailing runs along the two shorter edges, providing a subtle textural contrast to the flat-weave appearance of the main surface. The proportions are standard for a rectangular floor covering, making it versatile for various room layouts. The model is presented as a singular, flat geometry, ideal for quick placement within floor plans or interior visualisations.

The download is a 31.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp scene, use the native import tool to place the component directly onto the floor plane. Ensure the surface normals are oriented correctly to prevent flickering in rendered views. If necessary, scale the object using the uniform scaling tool to match specific interior dimensions. The texture mapping is pre-applied, though users can easily replace the material with custom fabric shaders if additional bump or displacement maps are required for close-up camera angles during final rendering.

This rug is appropriate for residential living rooms, bedrooms, or casual lounge areas in hospitality projects. It pairs well with minimalist furniture, mid-century modern seating, or neutral-toned flooring materials like light oak or concrete. Professionals searching for a graphic accent piece will find this model useful for adding visual interest to floor surfaces without overwhelming the space. It is a practical choice for interior designers and visualisers working on contemporary residential or boutique hotel projects requiring simple, clean-lined floor decor.
