Rattan and Wood Hanging Chair Set

This SketchUp model set features two distinct hanging chair designs, including a wooden platform swing and a rattan egg-style chair. This collection includes two styles of suspended seating. The first is a rectangular timber platform swing suspended by thin metal chains, featuring a simple geometric frame and a soft seat cushion. The second is an egg-shaped hanging chair crafted from woven rattan, supported by a sturdy black metal floor stand with a circular base. This piece includes a plush internal seat cushion for added comfort. Both models emphasize clean, contemporary lines and natural textures, making them suitable for diverse interior schemes that require a light, airy aesthetic for lounge areas or sunrooms.

The download is a 49 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these models are provided as modular components. Users can easily import the files into an active project, scaling the units to fit specific spatial requirements. The materials are applied as standard textures, allowing for adjustments in reflection or bump maps within the native environment. The floor-standing chair is grouped for simple placement, while the hanging swing can be attached to ceiling geometry or structural beams using standard move and rotate tools to ensure realistic positioning in the scene.

These hanging chairs are ideal for residential living rooms, covered balconies, or hotel lobby relaxation zones. They pair well with lightweight side tables and indoor greenery, creating a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Designers often search for these items when specifying furniture for boho-chic or contemporary interior projects. They are particularly effective when placed in corners or near windows to create a dedicated reading nook or a visually interesting focal point that adds texture without overwhelming the floor plan of a small space.
