About this asset

This contemporary modular sofa for 3ds Max features a beige fabric finish on a slatted wood platform with accent scatter cushions. This expansive modular sofa is defined by its low-profile aesthetic and integrated timber platform base. The seating arrangement consists of three distinct segments, each upholstered in a neutral beige fabric that provides a soft, tactile contrast to the linear wood frame. The design includes a selection of scatter cushions in muted grey and dark brown tones, adding depth to the composition. The slatted wood base extends beyond the seat cushions, creating integrated side surfaces suitable for placing small objects or decorative items, while the deep, rectangular seat cushions ensure a relaxed, comfortable seating posture.

The download is a 21.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the pivot point is set to the base for efficient placement on floor surfaces. Use the native material editor to manage the fabric textures and wood grain mapping, ensuring proper UVW coordinates are applied to the slatted elements. The modular nature of the geometry allows for easy adjustment or separation of the seating units if required by the specific layout of your interior scene. Check collision settings if placing within a populated architectural environment.

This sofa is well-suited for large-scale residential living rooms, open-plan apartments, or high-end hospitality lounge areas. Its clean lines and neutral palette allow it to pair seamlessly with minimalist or contemporary decor, including low-profile coffee tables and textured area rugs. Professionals searching for a versatile, modern seating solution will find this asset effective for high-quality interior visualisations. It is particularly useful for establishing a sophisticated focal point in spacious, light-filled rooms where the slatted wood detailing can be highlighted through careful lighting placement.
