About this asset

This 3ds Max model features an oriental-style black lacquer wooden bench with an integrated central tea table and beige seating pads. This traditional-inspired bench features a high-gloss black lacquer finish on its solid timber frame. The backrest and armrests are defined by a geometric lattice pattern, characteristic of classic eastern furniture. A functional, low-profile tea table is seamlessly integrated into the center of the seat, dividing the bench into two distinct seating areas. The piece includes low-profile beige seat cushions and two dark brown accent cushions. The legs follow a traditional curved, scrolled profile, providing a low, stable stance that anchors the piece within a formal living space or quiet room.

The download is a 2.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with clear object naming and grouping, allowing for easy selection of the cushions and frame. The material setup uses standard shaders, which can be easily adapted for custom render engine workflows. Users should ensure their scene units match the model scale to maintain the intended proportions. The textures are applied using standard UV mapping, and the geometry is optimized for efficient viewport performance, making it suitable for high-detail interior visualisations without excessive memory overhead.

This bench is well-suited for high-end residential interiors, particularly in living rooms, tea rooms, or meditation spaces where an oriental or zen aesthetic is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist decor, natural materials, and neutral palettes. Designers often search for this type of furniture when specifying items for boutique hotels, cultural reception areas, or luxury apartments that require a statement piece with historical influence. It works best as a focal point in open-plan layouts or as a refined seating solution in quiet corners.
