Dark Brown Marble Reception Desk with Sculptural Lighting

This contemporary SketchUp reception desk features a dark brown marble facade paired with a dramatic, suspended sculptural light installation. The reception desk is a substantial rectangular block finished in a rich, dark brown marble with intricate white veining. It maintains a clean, minimalist silhouette, serving as a solid anchor point within a space. Suspended above the desk is a large-scale, custom lighting installation composed of numerous vertical glass filaments that transition in colour from clear at the top to a vibrant, warm orange at the base. This arrangement creates a striking visual gradient. The set also includes decorative vases and small floral arrangements placed at either end of the desk surface.

The download is a 33.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model functions as a single component group. Users can easily adjust the positioning of the suspended light fixture relative to the desk by manipulating the group axes. The marble texture is mapped to the desk geometry, allowing for quick material overrides or scale adjustments via the material editor. The lighting elements are layered separately, enabling users to toggle their visibility or apply emissive properties to the orange glass tips to simulate a soft, glowing illumination in rendered scenes.

This desk is suited for high-end office lobbies, boutique hotel reception areas, and luxury retail showrooms where a strong focal point is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist interior schemes, providing a contrast between the heavy, grounded stone of the desk and the delicate, airy nature of the overhead lighting. Designers searching for professional-grade commercial furniture or statement lobby installations will find this model ideal for developing sophisticated, high-impact interior concepts during the design development or presentation stages of a project.
