About this asset

This 3ds Max coffee table features a sculptural natural wood root base topped with a circular glass plate, presented as a set. This coffee table is defined by its organic, raw aesthetic, showcasing a substantial tree root base that retains its natural, gnarled contours and warm timber grain. A large, clear circular glass top rests directly on the irregular surface, providing a functional, smooth surface while maintaining visibility of the base beneath. Included in the set are several decorative accessories, specifically a wire-frame cage lamp and a small stack of books. The composition highlights the contrast between the rough, earthy textures of the wood and the refined, transparent quality of the glass.

The download is a 33.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a collection of grouped objects, allowing for easy placement and adjustment of the individual decorative elements. Users should verify that the glass material settings are correctly configured for transparency and refraction to achieve realistic light transmission. The wood base is UV-mapped to accommodate complex textures, and the entire assembly can be scaled as a single unit or subdivided to isolate the table from the decorative props when creating custom interior design compositions or lighting studies.

Ideal for rustic, bohemian, or wabi-sabi interiors, this table serves as a strong focal point in living room designs or casual lounge areas. It pairs effectively with textured textiles, such as the included hide rug, and works well in residential projects that emphasize natural materials and organic forms. Designers often search for this type of piece when looking for a statement coffee table that adds warmth and texture to minimalist spaces or to anchor a seating area in a relaxed, eclectic home environment.
