About this asset

This SketchUp model features a set of two natural wicker baskets with integrated fabric liners, ideal for interior styling. This set includes two open-weave wicker baskets constructed from natural rattan, each featuring a distinct textile element. The first basket is draped with a soft, light-coloured fabric liner, while the second contains a folded grey textile and patterned scatter cushions. The woven structure is light and airy, providing a tactile, organic aesthetic suitable for various interior styles. The proportions are balanced for floor or shelf placement, offering a realistic look for close-up renders. These pieces are modelled with attention to the weave pattern and the natural drape of the included fabrics.

The download is a 9.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these components are organized as individual groups or components, allowing for easy placement and rotation within your scene. Use the scale tool to adjust dimensions to fit specific shelving or floor areas. The textures are mapped to the geometry, so you can easily swap the fabric materials or adjust the transparency of the wicker weave if needed. Consider using a proxy or simplified geometry if populating large areas to maintain viewport performance during the design process.

These wicker baskets are versatile assets for residential projects, particularly in bedrooms, living areas, or walk-in closets where they provide a warm, organic touch. They are frequently used as lifestyle props to add depth and realism to interior visualisations, pairing well with soft furnishings, rugs, and light-toned timber furniture. Designers often search for these items when aiming to convey a relaxed, clutter-free aesthetic in Scandinavian, wabi-sabi, or coastal-inspired schemes, especially during the final stages of a project’s interior styling.
