About this asset

This modern low stool, designed in 3ds Max, features a circular wood seat supported by a distinctive black metal frame base. This minimalist low stool presents a clean, geometric silhouette suitable for contemporary interiors. It consists of a solid, circular wooden seat with a visible grain pattern, finished in a warm brown tone. The base is constructed from a slender, black-finished metal rod, which curves to form a stable tripod-like support structure. The frame design provides a lightweight aesthetic while ensuring structural integrity. Its compact proportions and simple material palette make it a versatile piece that balances industrial influence with a refined, modern sensibility, ideal for smaller footprints or as a functional accent piece.

The download is a 1.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Professionals can integrate this model into 3ds Max scenes by merging the file into the primary project environment. The object is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for efficient selection and manipulation. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned with the floor plane for accurate placement. Materials are applied using standard mapping, which can be adjusted or replaced to suit specific render engine requirements, such as V-Ray or Corona, by re-linking textures within the material editor.

This stool fits seamlessly into residential living rooms, bedrooms as a vanity seat, or modern commercial lobbies and boutique retail spaces. Its understated design complements a variety of styles, from industrial lofts to scandinavian-inspired apartments. Designers often search for this type of seating when specifying accent furniture that requires a small spatial footprint. It pairs effectively with side tables, console arrangements, or as an occasional seat in a study, providing a functional yet visually unobtrusive seating solution for diverse interior design schemes.
