Contemporary Cream Boucle Circular Stool with Dark Wood Base

This contemporary 3ds Max stool features a cream-coloured boucle finish on a circular frame with a dark wood base for a layered look. This circular stool is defined by its segmented, tiered profile, featuring three horizontal bands of cream-coloured boucle upholstery. A vertical strip of the same fabric runs down the side, creating a subtle, structured detail that breaks the cylindrical form. The seat is supported by a solid, dark-stained wooden plinth base, providing a grounded contrast to the soft, textured top. Its compact, drum-like proportions make it an ideal accent piece. The design balances a minimalist silhouette with tactile interest, offering a versatile seating solution that works well in various interior styles, from modern to transitional settings.

The download is a 20.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this stool into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file into your project and adjust the scale to suit your interior dimensions. The object is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection and material management. Ensure the boucle texture is correctly mapped using your preferred UVW unwrap settings to maintain the scale of the fabric weave. Use a standard physical camera for interior views, and apply a neutral studio HDRI or area lights to capture the soft highlights on the upholstery.

This stool serves as a functional accent in residential living rooms, bedrooms, or dressing areas, where it can be used as extra seating or a footrest. It pairs effectively with minimalist armchairs or as a pair at the foot of a bed. Professionals often search for this type of compact, textured seating when specifying furniture for boutique hotels, high-end residential projects, or contemporary lounge spaces. Its neutral palette allows it to blend seamlessly into spaces featuring natural materials, warm wood tones, or soft, monochromatic colour schemes.
