About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric Roman blind for 3ds Max features a clean, horizontal fold design suitable for modern interior window treatments. This Roman blind is constructed from a neutral grey textile, featuring a structured horizontal pleating system that gathers neatly when retracted. The design is minimalist, focusing on clean lines and a flat, uniform face that sits flush against the window frame or recess. The fabric texture is subtle, providing a soft, matte finish that diffuses light effectively. Its construction implies a standard corded or chain-operated mechanism, allowing for precise height adjustment. The geometry is clean, capturing the natural drape and tension of the fabric panels across the width of the blind.

The download is a 14.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this blind into a 3ds Max scene, simply merge the asset into your project file at the appropriate window location. The model is scaled for standard openings, though it can be resized using non-uniform scaling tools to fit specific architectural requirements. Ensure the pivot point is positioned at the top mounting rail for ease of placement. You can adjust the material properties in the Slate Material Editor to match specific lighting conditions or to modify the fabric colour and opacity as needed.

Ideal for residential bedrooms, home offices, and minimalist living areas, this Roman blind provides a refined window dressing solution. It pairs well with contemporary interior styles, offering a balance between privacy and light control. Designers often search for this type of window treatment when specifying clean-lined, clutter-free aesthetics for urban apartments or professional workspaces. It is a versatile choice for both new build projects and renovation schemes where a subtle, functional aesthetic is required to complete the architectural detailing of a room.
