About this asset

A modern black Sony DAV-DZ777K DVD player as a detailed SketchUp model, featuring a slim profile and integrated front-panel controls. This SketchUp model represents a standard home entertainment DVD player with a sleek, low-profile chassis finished in matte black. The front fascia includes a central disc loading slot, a prominent circular volume dial on the right, and various input ports including a USB interface. The design reflects typical consumer electronics aesthetics from the mid-2000s, featuring printed branding and function indicators along the lower edge. The geometry is clean and simple, focusing on the rectangular form factor and the specific placement of the control interface elements common to this specific Sony model.

The download is a 1.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best handled as a single group or component to maintain scene organisation. Users can easily place this unit onto media consoles or within TV cabinets using the move tool. For rendering, ensure the face normals are correctly oriented to prevent shading artifacts. The model is lightweight, making it suitable for populating detailed interior scenes without significantly impacting viewport performance or file size, and it can be scaled if necessary to match specific furniture dimensions.

This asset is ideal for residential interior visualisations, particularly within living room or media room settings. It serves as a functional prop for styling TV stands, entertainment units, or home cinema cabinetry. Architects and interior designers can use this to add realism to client presentations, especially when detailing custom joinery for home entertainment systems. It pairs well with other electronic components and modern furniture styles, helping to ground a space by adding common, everyday technology that makes a room feel authentic and lived-in.
