About this asset

Defined by its traditional silhouette, this armchair features a tightly upholstered cream fabric seat and backrest, complemented by a matching square throw cushion with a subtle damask-style pattern. The frame is supported by elegant cabriole-style legs finished in a metallic gold tone, which extend into decorative carved details at the joints. The armrests follow a gentle, sweeping curve, maintaining the graceful proportions characteristic of classic furniture design. This piece offers a formal aesthetic, with clean lines and balanced geometry that ensure it functions well as a singular accent piece in various sophisticated room settings.

The download is a 20.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy manipulation. Users can apply custom materials or adjust the existing fabric and metal shaders within the slate material editor. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement within a scene or integration into larger interior design projects. When setting up lighting, ensure the metallic finish of the legs receives appropriate highlights to accentuate the gilded texture, while the fabric upholstery benefits from soft, indirect global illumination to maintain its soft-touch appearance.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, formal studies, or boutique hotel lobbies. It pairs effectively with classic side tables, ornate floor lamps, or as part of a curated seating group in a master bedroom suite. Designers often seek this type of piece for projects requiring a touch of historical elegance or a focal point in transitional interior designs. It is ideal for visualising luxury residential developments, heritage property refurbishments, or upscale commercial spaces that demand a refined, timeless furniture aesthetic.
