About this asset

This contemporary white fabric curved armchair for SketchUp features a distinct wrap-around backrest and an included scatter cushion. This contemporary armchair is defined by its deep, curved silhouette that integrates the backrest and armrests into a single, continuous frame. The upholstery is a clean, off-white fabric with vertical channel stitching that provides texture and structure to the exterior. A matching square scatter cushion is included, resting against the backrest to enhance comfort. The seat is low-profile and generous in width, creating an inviting, cocoon-like seating experience. Its minimalist form and neutral palette make it a versatile piece for various interior design schemes, prioritising both aesthetic softness and modern geometric clarity.

The download is a 7.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this armchair into a SketchUp scene, import the component and use the native scale tool to ensure it aligns with your project dimensions. The geometry is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy material replacement or texture scaling on the fabric surfaces. When rendering, apply a subtle bump map to the fabric material to capture the depth of the channel stitching, and position the model to take advantage of natural light to highlight the curved edges of the frame.

This piece is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks where a statement accent chair is required. It pairs well with low-profile coffee tables, textured rugs, and minimalist floor lamps. Professionals searching for lounge seating, modern accent chairs, or sculptural furniture for interior visualisations will find this model useful for populating high-end residential projects or contemporary hospitality spaces. Its neutral tone allows it to blend seamlessly into both monochrome palettes and vibrant, layered interior designs.
