Contemporary Grey Wood Large Grid Bookcase

This contemporary floor-standing bookcase in SketchUp features a distinct geometric grid frame and a neutral grey finish. This large-scale bookcase is defined by its angular, intersecting vertical partitions that create a dynamic, non-uniform grid pattern across the shelving. Constructed with a clean, minimalist aesthetic, the unit provides extensive storage capacity across multiple horizontal shelves. The grey finish offers a versatile, neutral tone suitable for various interior palettes. The design includes varied compartment sizes, allowing for both vertical and horizontal book storage alongside small decorative objects or potted plants. The structural frame is robust, providing a stable foundation for a full library collection while maintaining a visually light and modern presence.

The download is a 10.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users can easily integrate this model into SketchUp projects by using the component import function. The geometry is organised into logical groups, allowing for efficient material application or colour adjustments to the frame. When scaling the unit, ensure the vertical dividers maintain their structural proportions. The model is well-suited for populating interior scenes; place it against a wall and use the native alignment tools to ensure flush positioning. Apply high-resolution textures to the shelves to enhance the realism of the wood grain detail.
